What we have achieved so far
Taking over a project from a previous agency can always be a bit of a challenge. But we were able to completely on-board the Shopware Enterprise project, including interfaces and the complete integration into our systems and workflows, in just a few weeks. Winter sports articles have a lot to offer - and can therefore have countless product features, which have to be presented to the customer in a visual, appealing and understandable way. For example, skis, ski-boots and ski-poles have completely different characteristics, so these must be presented individually, depending on the type of product. Therefore, one PDP in the Fischer online shop is not necessarily the same as the other. There are not only differences in terms of product type - Fischer Sports also offers country-specific product portfolios, content and payment methods.
Project progress and
After the successful takeover of Fischer Sports, as another Shopware Enterprise customer, we were able to take off right at the beginning in cooperation with the SEO agency. Next to state-of-the-art adjustments, the SEO ranking was also improved enormously.
Another important milestone in the further development of the Enterprise Shop was a "complete cookie consent solution". By using the latest solutions, we have created an absolutely transparent and simple overview of the cookies used, including the cookie administration for the user. Together with Fischer Sports, we are already fulfilling the data protection requirements of tomorrow.
Manual shop maintenance is a thing of the past: With the connection to the HR system "Infoniqa", open positions are now automatically displayed in the web shop. Since Infoniqa already offers an API based on XML, a direct connection to the webshop was easily possible.
Work was not only done in the background, also usability was improved: The product detail pages were fully optimised and specified for Alpine, Nordic, skis, shoes and clothing. In order to get the most out of each product category, the PDP was individualised in the best possible way, and embellished with all relevant information. For an even better product presentation in the content area, we optimally used the possibilities of the Shopware Shopping Experience. With this we were able to create emotional connections to well-known sports stars on category and product level, and able to share professional testimonials. The awards on the product detail pages also support the end customer in choosing the right product. In addition, highlighting the Hero articles in the product listing, provides a convenient overview for the end customer. As there is always room for improvement for a top-class Shopware shop, the webshop now also offers product ratings for its end customers.
In addition, we were able to successfully convert Fischer Sports as a new customer for our partner and payment provider "Mollie". With this, we integrated payment methods, in various forms for country-specific requirements, such as Paypal, Klarna Pay Later (purchase on account), Klarna Slice It (installment purchase), credit card, Sofort, EPS, iDeal, Giropay, Bankcontact. Along with this, we also defined product portfolios per country, which enables the targeted sale of country-specific products. Fischer Sports now also has its own SALES area with reduced products thanks to us as a Shopware Agency. Attractive offers are presented throughout the year.
Following the successful optimisation of the EU shop, the focus was laid on E-Commerce in the USA - in combination with Quivers. US-American customers can now also benefit from the Shopping Experience in the Fischer Sports webshop without any compromise at all.
Up to this point, we have done a lot to generate customers and make them happy... but they also have to be managed in the best way possible. This is exactly why the CRM Salesforce will be connected to the Shopware Enterprise Shop. In close cooperation with another agency, an interface is being created between Shopware and Salesforce. With this set-up, customer data, orders and newsletter subscribers will easily be synchronised in the future.
In addition to the Fischer Sports webshop, another brand shop will be created in 2021. Since 2018, Fischer Sports has also carried the brand One Way - a supplier of cross-country and alpine poles. Up till now, there was no separate webshop for One Way products, but that will soon belong to the past. The goal with the One Wy webshop, ist to generate as little additional work as possible, but still present its own brand in the One Way CI. No problem - the solution is to integrate One Way as a subshop in the existing Fischer Sports Shopware shop with a so called technological theme inheritance, which brings out our brand-specific developed UX-UI with little additional effort.
